Snowpocalypse

Unless you've been in a coma or under a rock for the past 48 hours, you may have heard that DC had some flurries today. By that I mean we were completely pummeled with a record breaking 20 inches of snow.
Being snowed-in is always enjoyable, when you don't have any responsibilities or anywhere to be. I even had my Christmas shopping finished, so I was stress free So I snuggled up on the couch and watched every holiday chick flick you can think of and busied my fingers with a few projects.

This Christmas, I participated in Mrs. Southern Belle's Ornament swap. I was paired with Amy from The Un-Wife Housewife Life. You can check out Amy's blog and see pictures of the Snowman ornament I sent to her.
My favorite part of Christmas is angels. Here is a picture of the angel ornament Amy made for me on my tree.

She also made me two beaded snowflakes.

I've finished a ton of projects lately; I've been a knitting machine. Here is my favorite project I've completed recently. It's the Fisherman's Wife Scarf, which is available on Ravelry. I was commissioned by my best friend to make this for her mother. Modeled after this one she saw at Macy's.

It was a great pattern. So much fun to knit and so fast. I finished it in only a few hours. I wish I had more time before Christmas so I could whip up a few more for presents!
